These vehicles ARE allowed to be imported into the US, you're just going to have to wait another 10 years on top of the 15 we in Canada had to wait. The first year this generation of Delica was produced was 1986, which means you should be able to start importing them in 2011. Yeah!

Thanks for the comment, @Muttski. Gearbox does not seek to be political, but when political beliefs play a role in why someone mods a Mitsubishi a certain way, they are valid and must be included for the integrity of the story.

If your beliefs played a role in the route you took with your car, wouldn't you feel that was an important part of the story?

Very interesting article, but I could have done without the political commentary. Sounds like he's a believer and is actually willing to go the hard way to support his beliefs. Good for him. I'd like to see more articles on Mitsubishi vehicles not available in the U.S. L200 pickup perhaps?
